Sunday morning is cold, crisp and foggy as we head out to a local cafe for breakfast, down the road from our accomodation. Bacon and eggs, coffee and juice set us up for the day and we decide to head off early. Heading south along "Buckets Way" which is the name of the main road our first detour is to drive in to Barrington Tops National Park, a listed World Heritage area. Its about 40km in from Buckets Way along a fairly winding but scenic drive mainly on a bitumen. There are several constructed fords to cross on the way in but they are all easy on the car being only a few centimetres of flowing water and paved with concrete. Eventually we arrive at the main camping area where there are quite a few hardy souls camping. Even at this time of the day there is still "steam" rising from the nearby river and it is still chilly. We stretch our legs and decide against a longer walk, which we will do another time and head back to the Buckets Way and on to the town of Stroud.
