We just thought we would update everyone with what has been going on. We finally got jobs and have been working a fair bit. David still has to go to stupid Leeds and Meagan has been going all over the country side just to get a couple of pounds. It hasnt really been too pleasant but it will all be worth it in 2 days when we fly away again!

York had a Viking festival on in the school holidays which provided us with some fun. Everyone in the town dressed up and put on a massive battle reinactment - it was pretty funny (there was a viking who reminded us of Adam). There was also some great food at the Viking markets.

Tony and Kath came to visit and we decided to have an eat-off at an all you can eat asian place. It ws a tough competition but David pulled through (Tony vomitted and lost by default). Tony had to tuck in his pants to his socks for the rest of his visit to York. Kath insistes that she sat next to Austin Powers on the bus n her way to York. The night of the eat-off there was a woman screaming for help outside our house. We were the only people in the street who decided to help her. She said she was attacked (it was a dometic thing). We called the ambos and the police (we were impressed that we knew the english emergency number) and we were called into the police station the next day for a statement. The police assured us that our area is nice and this was a once off event.

Teaching spelling has been hard for David as the kids cannot understand him. It has taken us forever to stop calling trousers pants (pants are undies and the kids think it is hilarious). We now say 'Hiya' and 'are you alright' when we great people and we call chips 'crisps'. Meagan gave a cooworker some vegemite and she nearly vomited.

Anyway we are off to Italy in 2 days (we just booked accom - we forgot that it was easter!). We are finishing our trip in Egypt on the 24th of May. What happens in between has not been fully decided yet. We cannot wait.
