Back in Quito again I bumped into Dan the guy I’d travelled with for a few days right back at the start of the trip in Vina Del Mar. We had a night on the piss and at dinner the next evening tried Cuy which is Guinea Pig, an Ecuadorian favourite. It had hardly any meat on it but I didn’t like it much anyway, probably because our next door neighbours used to have some as pets when I was younger and it was also served whole with it’s claws, teeth and eyes showing.
