Ah, Jamaica. Ya mon. What a wonderful place. Although the resort is far removed from the Real Jamaica, we have had glimpses in the form of Stewart, our driver from the airport and a trip into the township of Negril for souvenir shopping. The spirit of openness exudes from the people here, and although we represent what they both love & hate about the tourism industry, there is a genuineness that comes from the heart. The All is One philosophy that permeates the music & the being of this incredible island makes a mark. How can one come here and Not feel the connectedness? Rastafari.

The beach is the most beautiful i've seen and we are soaking up the relaxed vibe of the resort. Today we learned to sail a hobie cat & tomorrow we take a glass bottom boat ride, go snorkeling & take a catamaran cruise to some caves.
The afternoons have mostly been visited by soft rains. From our balcony, the sky & sea meld into a grey blue distance. Who would have thought that we have adapted so well to having Nothing to do?! Sipping Red Stripe and fruity rum drinks makes it easy.
We would definitely like to return to experience more of the real Jamaica - see more of the natural habitat, meet more locals, eat more authentic cuisine and get down with some real Jamaican tunes.
