This was my first real hike of the summer. I went with Jen, Kavi and Parker. It started out really hot that day, miserable hot. The first part of the hike was definately the hardest. It was a lot of fairly steep switchbacks for quite awhile. Then it leveled out and was quite scenic. It was a neat hike because you could look back and see Vail Mountain and the ski runs. That helped you judge how high up you were. Parker was glad to get to the destination, the falls. He needed a break and a snack. Cause after all, he's pretty small and wants to keep up with the "big dogs." It was a great time; Jen and I had a lot of fun. It was definately the beginnning of a summer full of hiking.
