It was a crisp and cloudy Arctic afternoon, the kind of day where everything is an eerie, muted pastel shade of lavender. In mid-winter, the sun rises just above the horizon for only a few hours in the day so you gotta be quick with the camera. It was a kick-back Sunday, and we didn't have any homework so my buddie and I jumped in the truck and drove about an hour towards the Denali mountain ridge. Here's what we came up with.
Oh, I forgot to mention: the temperature was -42F.
