Stop-over in Madrid

We bought a round trip flight through Easy Jet from Madrid to Marrakech for about 50 euros each. So from Paris we flew to Madrid for a day before going to Morocco. Madrid was an easy city to get around in, friendly to walkers at this time of year, and we had no trouble finding a restaurant open at about midnight for dinner after our late arrival. And the prices were much easier to stomach after Northern Europe and Scotland!

We meandered around for a morning and ended up in the Plaza de Oriente, which was well manicured and a nice spot for coffee. We decided that we'd have to give Madrid a better visit one day, since we did not get a chance to see the Prado, or Thyssen, or the Reina Sofia.
