Dubrovnik - Ragusa

The beautiful city of Dubrovnik has an ancient history, beginning with a settlement by Slavs at the base of the wooded Mount Srdj in 614 AD. Perhaps our visit to the old walled city has been the most interesting. Seeing a World Heritage Site rebuilt from a recent war has really been an eye opener. Especially to stay at a hotel that has its own history during this time of upheaval.

We caught up with ourselves here after a wearing ride down the coast of Croatia by finding a wonderful small hotel on the cliffs overlooking Dubrovnik., named the Villa Dubrovnik. We're do a review for you to see.

Our plans changed once again to go to several of the islands from here back up to Split. Hampered by the early season, not all the ferries are running. So we took a negative and turned it into a positive by staying here several days at the Villa Dubronik - the sun is out and the sky is blue !
