Long trip to Paris

The longest flight I can remember ever taking. Because of the size of our group, we were split into two groups of 70. One group went from Honolulu to San Francisco, then to London and Paris (by bus/ferry). My group went to Los Angeles, London and Paris (by bus/Eurotunnel shuttle). We left early Christmas morning and pulled into our Paris hotel (Mercure Montmartre) around midnight the following day.
As we neared Paris, we stopped at a restaurant for a late dinner of chicken and french fries ("frites" in French). Little did I know that the by the end of the trip I would be totally sick of "frites" or "chips" which seemed to accompany every meal we had in Paris and London.
