A Simple Bike Trip.....

We decided to take a easy bike ride to a neighboring town on a Friday afternoon and maybe have a little picnic and a pint or two.  Well the trip there was uneventful; a nice 20km ride through the Dutch country side.  We arrived and all 4 pubs were closed on a friday afternoon, so we went to grocery store and bought some warm beer and went to the only public bench in the town and ate our delicious sandwichs that Maureen made us.  I was not sure if its legal or not to drink beer in public but since they had the nerve to close all the pubs I figured the cops would be sympathetic anyway.  So after our lunch we headed home into a 40mph head wind the whole ride.  There may not be any hills here in Holland but the headwinds are worse than any hill I can remember.  So after 3 hours of struggling into that headwind we arrived home exhausted and a little more respectful for mother nature.
