Visitor Information

The best source of information on the island is at the Thompson Island Information Center (tel. 207/288-3411), on Route 3 just south of the causeway connecting Mount Desert Island with the mainland.

Another source of local information is the Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce (tel. 207/276-5040).
