Instead of heading back to Cusco before the Sacred Valley (thus called due to the fact that it aligns itself with the Milky Way - apparently) we stayed over at Agua Calientes (thus called as it has hot volcanic springs - apparently!!). Despite being tired Russ and four of the other tour members had to take up the challenge of the guides in a 5 a side football game. Supposedly half an hour they played for an hour and a half. They narrowly lost 2-1 but they're getting closer to their first win on the South American continent!!

The next day we headed off to look at some more Inca Ruins along the Sacred Valley. We also visted a local market, Chichacherria (where they brew the local corn based grog - it's not best) and the highlight of it all was the Llama and Alpaca reserve. We got to wander around the field with the many kinds of Llamas and Alpacas and feed them. We're convinced we have to get one if we can import one into NZ!!!
