Cruising the Malecon

so this is ecuadors largest city, but it was deserted when i visited cause i went during carnival.  at this time everyone leaves the big cities to go to the mountains and beaches.  they have a long boardwalk that they call the malecon and there is one main street in down town.  i walked around and kind of just relaxed here.  it was very hot and humid so walking  a lot was difficult.  i ate a lot of fast food and saw a movie, blood diamond.  other than that i didnt do all that much, but this is a popular place for booking tours to the galapagos as well.

everyone goes elsewhere for carnival so the town was deserted
