Monday, 13 August When we crossed the border into Slovenia we drove into a massive storm... so much so that we had to slow down from 130kms to 70kms it was raining that heavy. When we got to our campsite it was still pouring rain... hesitant at first to pitch the tent we tried to stay in a hostel but they only had one bed, so we went back to the campsite and pitched the tent in the rain in the mud :( not much fun... sopping wet and muddy we headed for shelter at the campsite restaurant and stayed there for a while.

Tuesday, 14 August That night the rain held off and in the morning we woke up to clear blue skies and after breakfast we checked out a few camping shops for cooking equipment and a tarp to put over the tent. After finding these few things we moved the tent to a drier location then tested out the cooking equipment for lunch.

e hired a little row boat and rowed around the lake and stoped in the middle for a while sunning ourselves and diving in the water when it got too hot. We did this for around 5 hours...

Following this we hired some bikes and rode all around the lake (5kms).. this is such a beautiful place... definitely coming back here again! After this we rode a chair lift up a mountain and rode toboggans down the mountain 3 times... getting more daring and going faster every time. Way cool!!! That night we cooked our own dinner (beef steaks & corn - whoa we're experts at this now) then chilled out and caught up with a few aussies who were also staying at the campsite.

Wednesday, 15 August

We woke up early to meet up with our tour guide (his name was Borat) in town and got suited up with wetsuits and wet shoes & socks to go canyoning in the Triglav National Park, the canyon was called Frataleca. It took around 1.25 hours to get there and we drove through Italy to get there (this was the quickest way).

It was a 30 minute walk up the mountain first before we got into the canyon - the water was so crystal clear and with the mountains either side of us.... this has to be the most beautiful place we've seen and the best experience we've had in Europe.  We waded through the water (probably about 8 degrees cold) and Borat showed us the proper way to slide down the waterfalls (like a slippery dip except you get dunked into the cold water at the bottom) which ranged between 2 & 5 mtrs high... we also jumped into a few of the deeper ones. Borat also rapelled us (like abseiling) down some of the trickier drops, the biggest of them was 45mtrs high!!! What a thrill!

After this we drove for another 15 mins and waited for about 1 hour before we got suited up again to go white water rafting. We jumped in the raft with about 6 others and headed down the river for about 2 hours. None of us got thrown out of the boat but some of us jumped in the river for fun.... pretty cold in the water.

All of this finished around 5pm at which time we were absolutely famished. We devoured our food and then drove 1.5 hours back to Bled exhausted.

Thursday, 16 August

After a bit of a sleep in we  cooked breakfast and then headed for the lake for the day. We hired a little row boat and rowed around the lake and stoped in the middle for a while sunning ourselves and diving in the water when it got too hot. We did this for around 5 hours and also rowed to the little island in the middle of the lake... A little sun stroked we had a pretty early night.
