Last night in Leipzig
From Two Weeks in Germany, July 2007 in Leipzig, Germany on Jul 11 '07
On our last night in Leipzig, we went upstairs to the top of the Westin for the cooler-than-cool Vodka bar named Falco. (Yes, just like the Rock-me-Amadeus guy). Jack had Vodka from (drumroll, please) Kazakhstan. They had a restaurant there that had the same type of menu as Bigelow Grill's Alchemy, but for $149 Euros p/p. At 1.37 Dollars to the Euro, you do the math. Needless to say, we went somewhere else for dinner (called Sol y Mar, also a way cool restaurant with a huge outdoor seating area like every other restaurant in Germany, but also a lounge-y interior. Literally, people reclined on big stuffed comfy pillows- it was gorgeous without being creepy-hookah-bar-ish). You could make a mint if you opened one on Walnut street. They really know how to do nightlife in Leipzig and Dresden. And wearing all black, I fit right in.
