After a late night flight from Hanoi to Bangkok, we spent a night at Bangkok airport awaiting our 6am flight to Chiang Mai. It certainly was a welcomed relief to be back in Thailand after the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. Hightly recommend the service of Air Asia, a budget no frills airline. We have pretty much just chilled out and taken in the sights and sounds of Chiang Mai city, including the famous Night Bazaar Market which is a shoppers paradise offering many local handicrafts and any knock off gear you might want.

We got a real taste for the Thai Culture in a 1 day Thai cooking school named "Phad Thai Cookery School" we both passed with flying colours and got our own certificate and cook book. The day started with a visit to the local market where many of the fresh ingredients were purchased and then it was off to the school where we cooked 6 Thai favourites and got to eat them all. We finished the day so full we thought we wouldn't need to eat for about week.
We are staying in a fantastic guest house called "All in 1 Guest House" it is only a year old and we are paying 20NZD a night. The owner who is french is fantastic and we have a running bet with him on each race of the America's Cup - currently sitting 1-1. He now owes us a drink. We have a day left before heading back to Bangkok for a couple of days before flying to the UK on the 30 June.
