A quiet day with not much travel, as we are still adjusting to being halfway across the world. We all slept in and then made the short trip to Gisors. We drove through narrow streets and came across a beautiful park called Chateau Fort. It was an old castle built in 1097. The gardens were gorgeous and we were all inspired by the beautiful flowers.
Then off to a Pony Club. We wanted to take Nai'a and AP to ride horses french style. We found a Pony Club at the Rue du Mont de Aigle. The girls fit right in despite the language barriers. Horse girls all speak the same language. They sloshed through the mud to go out to the pasture where the ponies were and they were assigned their horses. They went in and harnessed them and took them to the barn to be tacked up. They followed the same routine they have back in Hawaii for getting their horses ready to ride, then off to the arena. They practiced many of the same moves they do in Hawaii and many new ones. Nai'a even galloped which was new to her... AP was a little scared of how fast that was. They ended their lesson by standing up on the horse and then jumping off. Since they were little ponies, it wasn't that far down.

All in all it was a pretty awesome day. Nai'a and I went for a late walk at 10:00p and it was just at sunset. Amazing to us since in Hawaii sunset only varies by about a 1/2 hour practically all year!!!
