The sleepy island of Don Det, our first real introduction to life in laos.

After our nightmare journey to cambodia, we (I) decided to fly into Laos. The journey was quicker, but the tickets were one mobile phone more expensive, removed from our checked luggage. From the airport we went directly to a small island on the cambodian border. A three hour trip.

The island was what it said on the tin. Quiet, quaint, and with electricity only between 6pm and 10pm. We saw a waterfall, we cycled a bit (on shorter roads) and we chilled. Far superior to Cambodia in my humble opinion :)
