Enjoyed another batch of bacon and eggs on the porch in the morning. We made reservations at the Pearl Resort for lunch today & wondering if we’ll make it. It’s so nice here, we just want to hang out on the porch and swim. I never tire of feeding the brilliant energetic fish below the deck. I could stay right here doing nothing else for months looking out over the motus and canoes passing by. But we have such fun when we go out, and meeting such nice people - got to force ourselves to get out.

Decided to put off our trip to the Pearl till tomorrow, and go into tow to complete travel arrangements for our departure to Huahini (Pronounced Whahini) which we plan to depart in only 3 days. Posted some more blog. Then had lunch at the apparently famous Bloody Mary’s – a very nice stylish restaurant/bar with coconut trunk stools and a white sand floor. Made a long phone call to our travel agent, then drove back to the café to send a FAX to confirm lodging – PHEW, should have wrapped up more of this before we left home, but better able to assess needs and value now. (need option of AC with this heat and humidity!). Drove around the island again, catching dramatic views of the awe inspiring cliffs in the center of the island. Came back to the house and made BBQ steaks on the grill (Have used the grill every night). Bringing out the gourmet chef in me!

Driving around
