Week 4- Ski Trip

This past weekend I took what I like to call a "mini-trip." I went with the adventerous Julie Beck and the rest of the CAB crew to Wintergreen Ski resort. This was my first time skiing and so it was a big "VC" weekend (in the words of Ms. Beck).

I realized on this trip that skiing is not my thing. I did attempt it with numerous falls and embarrassing moments. Yet, the trip was wonderful. I got to hang out, enjoy the resort's spa, and enjoy the the beautiful snow.

The ride there wasn't that bad. We got there quicker than we had anticpated. We stopped and at a "Sheetz" gas station. This was a memorable "VC" moment. You can get your gas and order food at the pump. Amazing, huh? Then you can go inside and make your own milkshakes and order food from a computer screen. The food was good and cheap. It was a unique dining experience.

The trip home was interesting too. All of our tired souls were trying to catch some Zzzz's in the van as it meandered through the mountains and rolling hills when our rest was disturbed. The sounds of someone being sick interrrupted our sleep bliss. Yes, someone threw up on our van. We had to pull over. It smelled. That was another memorable moment. That kind of moment will bond people for life.

Overall, the trip was excellent. I would love to go back! And remember, "What happens in Wintergreen......STAYS in Wintergreen...!"
