Spent time in this tiny town of Nang Rong.  Stayed at the "Honey Inn," a cool little guest house owned by a social science teacher.  The instant we got there I knew this was going to be an interesting experience... I was greeted by a teenage boy with drum sticks and his "indie rock" buddies.  It was about five minutes later that I opened my ears to realize that these cats were rehearsing at our guest house.  The four of us walked downstairs and into the practice room, I'm sorry "metil room" only to hear four kids rocking out to  The Cranberries tune, "Zombie".  It was such a beautiful experience.  Here were eight people that had no clue how to talk with one another other than by singing the lyrics to a song together.  Rocked out.

This little girl was excited to come over and show us the turtles housed in this pool of water. She then proceeded to take her 20 baht (equivalent to 50 cents), roll it up within her t-shirt and wrap it with a rubberband, so that it would be hidden from the tourists.

We spent time visiting Prasat Hin Khao Phanom Rung Historical Park, which rests atop a volcanoe on the Cambodia Thailand border.  It was at this park that we quickly becam celebrities all bc of the color of our skin.  I can't tell you how many people had thier pictures taken with me bc I seemed to be the whitest of our group.  I would hear the word "khao!" (sounds much like "cow" with a downwards influction of the voice) and I knew that people were talking abou tme.  Many a people had their pictures taken with me, the white tourist.  Quite comical.
