Gateway to Torres Del Paine
From Our big adventure in Puerto Natales, Chile on Jan 05 '07
A brief stop in Puerto Natales as a stepping stone for our trip to the Torres Del Paine national park. A small town mainly geared towards people stopping over only for a day or so as we did or to catch the Navimag boat up the west coast of Chile. It has lots of small hostels, cafes and a few restaurants and bars. All quite expensive.
We did call in at a little cafe specialising in chocolate called Patagonia Dulce. Very naughty but extremely tasty all the same. We recommend the brownies!
Stocked up on food for the next 5 days (cup-a-soups, instant porridge etc - typical camping fodda).
Caught a bus early the next morning from our hostel (Casa Cecilia - nice and very helpful) straight to the park.
