A beautiful place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit.

Yes,

you read the title right. I am just kidding about not wanting to visit, it is a good place to visit. I stayed on the Kowloon peninsula which is basically the tourist area. But there's not alot of old culture (you can go see the big buddha and I think there are other cultural things to do near Hong kong) to peruse. However, I think that to really enjoy Hong Kong it would be best to live and work there. This is nothing like the rest of China. It is obviously a former British (and world) colony. At least the very limited parts that I saw. English is everywhere. It's very easy to get around on the subway system, and the city is very modern. Huge building everywhere. Skyscrapers galore. And one of the coolest, though touristy, things is the every night at 8 oclock skyscraper light show. All the scrapers across the bay from Kowloon, on HOng Kong island, light up sychroniously with music for 13 minutes. It is quiet a show. Very modern art. Besides this I didn't do a whole lot in Hong Kong. I was sick from too much traveling for a couple of days and I spent a couple of days with my Chinese friend Yang Wang just cruising around. Though I should do more justice to Hong Kong, I will save that for when I work there. Enjoy the pictures.

Skyscrapers galore.
