Awesome weekend!

After Huayan Potosi, thought I was def incapicated and going to stay in the rest my body after teh 12 hour toture in altitude since i had only one hour sleep the day before.

Whats crazy is that some tourists like myself were not lucky enough to survive this road. It is common for guides to neglect their cyclists, causing them to speed off the cliffs into the 1km abyss!

Met up with petra stegel from slovenia for dinner and ended up with jemma and the rest for her fareweell. I ended up at mongos and was the last person to leave the club amongst my friends. Partied with petra at mongos again until the crack of dawn.

showed up for the dangerous road at 7.30 right on the dot with only another hour of sleep to lessen my 2 day sleep debt!

Diego and dave didn't think id make it but i did!

It was perfect weather for the Dangerous road. It was raining and visibility was pour and roads slippery

Nonetheless had so much fun travelling as fast as 60 kmh on the bike along the road that that puzzinlgy managed to harbour 2 way traffic let alone a bus!

WE were at around 3000m and raced down to 1000 about metres. roads were narrow with winding turns and corners without barriers that would lead accidental drivers plummeting to their deaths of almost a 1 kilometre freefall

Remains of flattened buses and tombs of cyclists at each danerous cliff remind us of how easy can life be taken away on the road

Wreckless and sleepless bus drivers travel along the road on possible 24 hour journeys and sometimes drive off cliffs with the rest of the 30 or 40 passengers

You can have cars charging onwards break abruptly to  a stop to find an oncoming speding lorry. its amazing and petrifying to watch how they reverse back to negotiate, leaving very littel buffer between the back tyres and the rest of the cliffs

2 thumbs up .. 3 if i had more. Whats crazy is that some tourists like myself were not lucky enough to survive this road. It is common for guides to neglect their cyclists, causing them to speed off the cliffs into the 1km abyss!
