The Ski Crazy Region
From My Trip to Switzerland in Saas-Fee, Switzerland on Feb 16 '07
Today we are in Ski heaven, and the best part is that the town is car free so no crazy drivers to run you over as you try to get to the slopes.
Our purpose here is to hike amonst the pines and on the slopes. But due to the low snow levels and the higher than normal temperatures the main hike we were to attack is closed. So we hunt for another one and according to the map it is a nice 1.5 hour hike to a reastraunt above were we are staying. There are no hiking maps for winter hiking just signs that are used in both Winter and Summer, so our hike extended to about 2.5 hours due to the fact that we started on the summer track and finished on the winter one. This times writen are one way and in no way based on Grandma´s pace as with all walks in Oz. So it was a good first work out and we took the easy way home on the cable car.
