After a quiet two weeks, following the spectacular weekend of Karatsu Kunchi, a bbq, poker, hiking, amazing onsen, and a balloon festival, it was time to let our hair down, crank up long lost forgotten songs, and prance about in strange colours I never even existed in the rainbow, let alone clothes!
The celebration had been called for Eric who was turning 23. An 80's party was therefore duly attended by a decent number of people from near and far. Costume of the night has to go to Karen who put together an amazing 80's "aerobics instructor" outfit (which she has also taken quite a shining to and I'm sure I'm only a month away from spotting her in the gym on the treadmill actually wearing it!). I was wanting to put together a nice "magnum PI" type hawaiian shirt to accompany. However, hawaiian shirts are hard to come by here, even in the thrift stores, so I had to settle for a nasty looking shirt and some turquoise coloured pants. When put together with my pimping sunnies, and sick mostachio, well, I think I achieved the required effect.

The night was loads of fun with drinking, dancing and games aplenty. Good costumes were littered around the room, and everyone was buzzing. Happy Birthday Eric... welcome to the "mid-20's" club.
