CYMRAEG:
"Bells Beach, you know 'Point Break' dude!" "Wedodd neb wrtha i bod hi'n gallu bwrw eira yn Awstralia!"
Ar ol gadael Camberra, gwario'n ni noson yn Cooma, ym mharc cenedlaethol y Snowy Mountians yn RHEWI (wedodd neb wrtha i bod hi'n gallu bwrw eira yn Awstralia!). Felly y diwrnod nesa, dyma ni'n gyrru mor gyflym ag oedd y fan yn medru nol lawr i'r arfordir. Erbyn i ni gyrraedd Melbourne, roedd hi'n 36 gradd a'r ddau ohonom ni'n rhostio yn y fan, yn y traffic, heb Air Con!! Does dim plesio rhai eh?

Gwario diwrnod yn llyfu hufen ia yn St Kilda cyn cwrdd a Fergus, ein ffrind o Anna Bay. Gethon ni groeso mawr ganddo e a'i ffrindau, a chyfle i aros mewn gwely iawn am y tro cyntaf ers oes! Roedd Melbourne yn lle gwych am ddiwilliant gyda llwyth o amgueddfeydd diddorol a phob dim am ddim! Gethon ni ei'n gwers cyntaf mewn Aboriginal Art a theimlo mewn dros ein pennau yn Museum of Moving Image (a fi wedi astudio am 3 mlynedd yn coleg hefyd!!)
Fuon ni i'r sinema am y tro cyntaf ers 8 mis bron a gweld ffilm wedi ei osod yn Melbourne - 'Kenny', doniol iawn. Y diwrnod wedyn, sawl amgueddfa, a'r jail lle gafodd Ned Kelly ei ladd cyn mynd i chwilio am stryd ACDC (i john ailfyw ei blentyndod). Yn amlwg o'r lluniau, roedd hi'n hwyr erbyn i ni ffeindio'r stryd a reodd John wedi ei dal hi!

Fi oedd yn gyrru y diwrnod nesaf, ac hyny ar hyd y Great Ocean Road. Dwi'n credu mae dyma un o uchafbwyntiau Awstralia i mi hyd yn hyn. Mae'n annodd esbonio pa mor anhygoel oedd yr arfordir, a lliw y mor - falle fod y lluniau yn gwnud yn well.

Codi i wedl mor glas glas yn torri ar y lan, teithio ychydig ar hyd yr arfordur a ffeindio pwll halen enfawr yng nghanol unman, a neb o gwmps. Felly mewn a John, a bron i mi ddilyn, tan i mi weld rhywbeth yn nofio'n gyflym iawn yn y cefndir - dim diolch!
Roedd hi'n daith 5 awr hir i Adelaide o fanno, a fi'n mynnu cymryd y 'scenic route' a dod ar hyd i ddim ond cors a llynnoedd halen, a channoedd o bilidowcars!
Mae Adelaide yn lle hyfryd, a dyma ni'n cwrdd a ffrindiau oedd ar ein cwch ni'n hwylio ar y Whitsundays. Mae nhw wedi bod yn garedig iawn yn cynnig i ni adael ein fan ni ar eu gardd nhw tra ein bod ni ffwrdd yn yr Outback wythnos nesa - dwi'n gobeithio na wnewn nhw newid eu meddyliau nhw ar ol ei weld e!!

Hello all,

Since our last blog we have travelled all the way to Adelaide, via Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road.
We didn't waste much time getting to Melbourne, we travelled there as quick as possible through the Snowy Mountains area. We did stop one night in a place called Cooma and as it was the Snowy Mountains it was suitably cold, and we were told that there was still snow further up the mountain. Not what you'd expect in Oz!
When we got to Melbouren, we headed down to St Kilda as it was REALLY hot, 36 degrees, we thought we should at least be by the sea! St Kilda was very interesting and quite bohemian, definately worth a look. We then met up with Fergus, an Aussie guy we'd met in Port Stephens (Anna Bay), and he gave us a tour of Melbourne and what to see. Being Australian, he also threw open his house for us to stay and took us out for pizza and a few beers!!. The next Day we got the tram into the city centre to visit a couple of cultural spots....mmmm! The Museum of Moving Images (ACMI) was a bit beyond us, but the Ian Potter musuem was very interesting, really it was! We then went for a walk around through Chinatown and other interesting areas, before heading down to a huge Casino complex by the river to watch a film called "Kenny", a mockumentry about a Melbourne porter loo worker!! Very Very funny. It was also the first time we've watched a movie since China, so we really appreciated it!

The next day we went in search of Ramsey Street and shoes for Ffi. We found Ramsey Street pretty easy (very sad i know!), the shoes however were a different story.
Fergus took us out for the night to some very cool bars, most down graffitied alleyways. Got suitably lubricated, got a pic at AC/DC lane and then headed home for sleep. A really good night, just hope we can give Fergus as good a night in Cardiff - if he ever makes it over!.
We headed south the next day to bells beach, you know 'Point Break' dude!, and then along the Great Ocean Road. As you will see from our pics, stunning views and really powerful waves...didn't try to surf them tho. We stopped the night in Port Cambell and then headed on along the GOR. We stopped off in a very small town called Beachport where some friendly local people offered to take us Kangaroo spotting in the dark in their 4x4. We politely declined, and they eventually got another beer for the ride home and headed off, nice blokes tho. One was called dog, i won't tell you why!

Next day we checked out the beautiful scenery, had a quick dip in a salt lake and after about 5hrs drive through swamps and salt lakes, with only one stop for pie, we arrived in Adelaide. We would have been sooner but Ffi fancied trying a bit off road dirt track driving down what she felt might be a short cut...it wasn't!!
We met up with some more Aussie friends (who we met on the Whitsundays) and have booked a 8 day outback trip to Uluru, Kings Canyon, Coober Peddy etc... Adelaide is a great place to eat, seems cheaper than other cities we been to and a bit like Cardiff.

Well our Oz journey is winding down, we fly to Fiji on the 5th Nov, and it has been great fun, but have a feeling sleeping under stars at Ayers Rock is going to be the tops, will keep you all posted.
Also, feel free to add comments on the web page, i'm not quite sure how you do it but i think theres a comments button, I know that its free to do, we would love to know what you think.
Happy Birthday Mark Richards, Joe Bach, Elen, Nici and Wilky (couple of new member of the 30 and overs club)
