We left Rome and all the beauty of the ruins there, then headed toward the hills of Tuscany. What a truly wonderful place this is. It is really a gift from God to the people that live and visit here. We've been staying a a hostel in the town of Certaldo(chairtaldo) and it's the most relaxing 'retreat' I've ever been on and certainly during this trip. Don't get me wrong. I've enjoyed seeing and doing all the things so far, but traveling place to place ever couple of days is hard on anyone. Anyway, we're staying at a place called Fattoria Bassetto, which was a convent converted into a hostel and is truly wonderful. If I could stay here I would, but I think my family would hunt me down and drag me home. Oh well. The place has a lot of activities for their guests such as, wine tasting, road trips around Tuscany, horse riding, bbq's, pizza night and much more. So far we've done everything except the horse riding and managed to fit in a trip to Florence. We haven't been as busy as it sound, but we've done a few things. Mostly we just lounge around with all the other tired backpackers and take day trips

As I said before, we managed to go to Florence yesterday and what a spectacular place it is. We visited the Duomo, the Cathedral, the Baptistry, Piazza Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, several gardens and much, much more. All of these places were incredible and quite beyond words. You'll see the pictures and be in awe, perhaps speechless.

In a couple of days we'll be leaving this wonderful place and go to Venice, then Southern France, Spain and to London.
