Today we went to up to Mt. Hood. Though I haven’t been able to see the mountain since I’ve been here because of the clouds, it was still a good visit. The drive up was shrouded in clouds and it was sleeting. When we got the top, we got out and walked against the wind and sleet up the trail a little till we got to the Pacific Crest trail. A sign said about 550 miles to Canada, and 2100 miles to Mexico. I thought that was pretty cool. I’d like to hike that trail someday. We took some photos of us up there and then headed back to the lodge. There were cars everywhere in the parking lot, but nobody in the lodge. They must have all been going up the mountain to go skiing or something. We walked around the lodge some, took some photos with Smoky and headed out.

We then drove to Meredith’s church office, which is not at the church, and I met some of her friends. Then on to Bridgeport, an upscale shopping area. Of course we made a beeline to the Apple store. Meredith’s camp is looking at getting a new computer for her, so we did some price comparing. We walked around the other shops for a while then left so that Meredith could get back to meet with some people that she would be housesitting for next week.
Later that night we went over to Jay’s house (Meredith’s boss) and watched Survivor, while taping the office at her house. We watched them both and then went to sleep, and so the day was done.
