After 5 airports, 17hrs of flying and 32 hours without any sleep i eventually arrived in Bangkok! It wasnt too bad as i got 3 seats to myself on the London-Hong Kong flight so i got a wee lie down- ah nice. On landing at Hong Kong Airport i thot we were for landing in the sea! We were skimming along! But the piolt made a super landing 10 out of 10! Nice airport too but i was too tired to explore so sat on my ass for 3 hrs waiting for my final flight!
Met Laura at the hotel. its was real nice for only 9 pounds a night. Had a bell boy bring my bags to my room- oo er! We ordered room service and crashed out zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Went out to investigate the City of Angels. Boy is it ever smoggy! We felt cakeit(dirty) within only a few hours ewww oh well have to get used to it! Its pretty hard nagivating around the city. We got lost numerous times. In the end we go into the famous "tuk tuks"(mini crazy taxis). Lucky for us we went out on the right day as the gasloline was free to all tuk tuks drivers because of the Chinese New year(nice one eh) Our 1st driver took us to see a few Buddhas. ive lost count how many i have seen now. Seen the "Big Buddah", "Black Buddah (which was gold!)", "Lucky Buddah", "Reclining Buddhah" and the "emerlad Buddah(its face looked like the Grinch!" and many more. Also went into a few Wats too which meant you had to take your shoes off and cover your shoulders and knees. Doesnt help when it is boiling hot outside! A local in one of the temples told us to light a candle for luck, guess what mine toppled over- good one!
We were also taken to tailors and jewllery stores to look at the local crafts. We didnt buy anything though.
Strolled along Te Khoa San Road. It's the main tourist street in Bangkok. It aint the cleanest of places and is more like a market than a shoppin steet. However the street food is delicious. Laura and i are up to try any food so thats handy. We got a selection of nibblets and tried them out- all good.Â
We also got a long tailed James Bond styke biat along the river down to the Grand Palace. The boat was the most water tight but we were only on it for 10mins luckily!  We really enjoyed the Grand Palace. The temples are very ornate and very "bling bling" It amazes us how such a poor country can have such equisite temples! It's here we saw the famous Emerald Buddah- not that impressive though. We tired to go see a Thai boxing match, but it was working out too expensive for us so had t6o give it as miss. Maybe we will see some of the locals fighting on the streets for free! Spent our remaining time in Bangkok at the Siam shopping centre. Wow it is amazing in there, So many shops and lovely restaurants. We ened up having japanese sushi. It was very tasty. Had a selction of things to try out. We even managed to eat the meal with chopsticks-impressed?!Â
3 days in Bangkok was plenty for us. Happy to be leaving. Oh and we mamaged to escape the Bangkok Hilton(the prison)-Phew!
