Susan and Gladys stopped off to spend a wonderful weekend in San Francisco visiting Jennifer and Jens. The weather was pristine and greatly inspired our choices. We began by going to Union Square and purchasing 1/2 price tickets to "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee". We then headed over to "Yank Sing" for a wonder dim sum brunch. The wonderful food fortified us for shopping local art in a show across from the Ferry Bldg, the weekend morning thing to do in San Francisco. The Ferry Bldg and market is fabulous on it's own -- we shopped for picnic food, wine, cheese, sourdough bread and fruit while at the Ferry bldg.
Our next stop was Golden Gate park. We spread our blanket, drank our wine and tasted our wonderful finds. What a perfect afternoon. We wrapped up our first day seeing the "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" and having drinks afterwards at "Anna Belle's Bistro". The perfect ending to a perfect San Francisco day.
Who knew San Francisco could be this warm in the summer
