Day 8

Jump onto a ferry today to get to Whittier then on to Portage.

The sun was out for a change, why not yesterday. We went to the museum which had some good info about the settlement of Valdez, the major earthquake and the Exon disaster. Then to spend more money at the souvenir shop and onto the ferry to Whittier. On the way out of the harbour we saw 2 Orca only small one though and I only had a small lens on so no photos, shit. Once we were off the ferry we drove to Seward, and to get out of Whittier you have to go through this 2.5 mile tunnel that is one way and the train has priority. So they say that to leave you have to be there one the hour for the first 15 minutes and then the return traffics turn and the rest if for the train. Seward is pissing with rain, so another wet night.
