We started out in Anchorage and drove to Denali State Park for our first endeavor. This trip seemed to be the "warm-up" for the more challenging backpacks that were to come. We set out on day 1 with 3000ft of elevation and swatting at mosquitos as we explored the Kesugi Ridge. We were lucky enough to see views of Denali almost every day and were blessed with good weather and conditions. A highlight of this section was sledding at 11:00 pm on Thermarests in bright sunlight.
