We arrived in Santa Cruz in the evening, and had a quick drive downtown. Patrice had lived there for a few months so she was our tour guide. We then stopped on the beach, to see all the sights and sounds that Santa Cruz had to offer. It turns out that I may have had more than my fill of these,  as my final ride on the fairground pushed me over the edge and I was sick! I was however very pleased to see my first OC style lifeguard hut on the beach, even if it was seen whilst leaning over a pole and spewing ( I think it may be sympathy for you Julie!) Had a fab time on the roller coasters though it turns out that Mikee is not a fan - we all regret not buying the hilarious pictures that were taken whilst on the rides!

We then headed home for food. The others were starving. Me? Not so much. So not for the first time this holiday, I went to bed with the room spinning.

The following morning, we had a quick walk downtown treated ourselves to some Jamba Juice smoothies, used the internet at the Library and headed for Monterey, which is a lovely area by the coast. We went to a posh restaurant where we shared fish and chips and Clam Chowder, and then headed on our merry way.

Would love to revisit Santa Cruz, although Patrice assures me that there is not that much more to see.
