An unexpected stop on the way home from Yokota AB...
Not much to speak of here, just stayed almost a full day at the passenger terminal area at Elmendorf AFB until the same C-5 aircraft was ready to take off again for Travis.
Got to step onto the 49th state
The first thing that caught my eye was the mountain range to the south of Elmendorf. Beautiful and majestic even from ground level, and I can only imagine what it looks like when there's snow.
The weather was beautifully cool, and sunset was at roughly 2300 (11PM). I guess that is Alaska during the summer...
