How can we not be wonderfully reminiscent when we think of our visit in DFW? Two big towns in Texas grew together and formed this huge metroplex (big as all outdoors).  The vastness of it certainly earns some dialogue.

Also, was the everyday friendliness of everyone we saw.  From the bank employees who called out, "ya'll come back to see us again," to the nice old fella who was coming in the restaurant as we were leaving, "how was the food , was it any good and I'm trying to decide if I want to go in or not"?

Big corporations could learn a thing or two about being friendly, something that Texans do naturally everyday.

Had wonderful visits with Phil's Texas cousins & aunt who threw out the red carpet.  Fed us until we had to loosen some buttons.  Showed us Texas style sights at Gaylords and walked around historic Grapevine where we purchased touristy memorabilia.

Poots has her moments - retiring to her secretive bedroom under the sofa, but coming out when the sun goes down to be her playful self.  She apparently doesn't understand how the scenery can be different when she wakes up.  Poor dear, just when she gets used to her surroundings, it changes.  That's enough about the darn cat.

I did my technical training for the Air Force in San Angelo. I seem to remember there being a very cool british style pub tucked away in one of the strip mall not too far from the base, but can't remember any more details. Glad you guys are having fun! Dave
