Well, we got up late. We had to rent the Jeep, eat and figure everything out. Oh well. We went to the rainforest. Very cool. Beautiful hiking trails. The biggest bamboo I’ve even seen (or imagined). Hiked about a mile to La Mina falls. We got in. Well, I got in first. Ok, it was VERY VERY cold. Once you were in for about 5 minutes it felt good. So Tracy got halfway in. Like I said it was cold! We then took the Jeep to Luquillo beach. It’s a nice beach with kioskos for food. They had this long street in front of the beach. Every place had the same food. I swear there was one cook for every restaurant. So we went to the most crowded on (safe huh?). They called them tacos but they were beef, chicken, fish or shrimp wrapped in tortilla and fried. The chicken one was good. Yes, Tracy had to get the chicken, shrimp and fish one. She didn’t feel very good afterwards. Whoops?! We then went to go on our BioBay cruise. Well, after quick shopping at Journey’s & Pac Sun. Ok, did I mention Puerto Rico is VERY American? Dollar, English and stores. In fact we arrived at the bay cruise early and asked the security guard what we could do. He said, “Shopping at Wal-Mart or you can go get something eat at Sizzler or Wendy’s”. HA! So we went on the BioBay cruise. TOOOOOO COOL! It was a bay that was about 78 degrees. There are these pyrodiniums that when they were moved released two chemicals. When they do they glow. So as you are swimming and the water glows all around you. It was so much fun! Tracy said it’s one of the coolest things we’ve done on our trips. We then went back to the room. We were going from about 9:00 to 11:30. Long but fun day.

Your trip sounded like a blast! We are going in May and would like to do the rainforest tour and biobay trip. Was it difficult to rent the car and find your way around? What company did you use for the biobay trip? Are the two places close to each other? Thank you for your help!

Actually being a US territory this has to be the easiest vacation we've had. Cell phones work as local calls. Yes, we had a lot of fun. Strongly recommend the Bio Bay. There are three biobays in PR--the most luminescent being the one off the island vieques. Thats the one we went on through east windcats http://www.eastwindcats.com/pages/powercat_excursion1.html. Theres also one right off the coast off PR in Fajardo that you can take kayaks to, but you can no longer swim in that one. The tour we did is highly recommended because you can actually swim in the water which is the best part (the water is also extremely warm). Highly recommend and well worth the cost!!(it will be about $100 per person including dinner). If you arent staying in PR long, you can easily tour the rainforest and do the biobay tour in one day. Rent a car, start early in the morning and tour the rainforest before it gets crowded (should take a few hours depending on how much you want to hike)the best trail is the one that leads to mina falls that u can swim in, stop off and have lunch at one of hte kiosks at luquillo beach (supposedly one of the nicest beaches in PR), then do the biobay tour in the evening. It will be a long day, but fun!! We stayed in isla verde and the drive is very easy from there to the rainforest, luquillo beach, and biobay dock! (about a 30 min drive to rainforest and then another 25 minutes to the dock for the biobay). if you have any questions feel free
