First stop.. back to that shop that sold the bigger suitcases.. get rid of the box, pack the box contents into the bag.

Then it was clean the fridge, scrub the toaster, the oven, the bathroom.. strip the beds, put them in the Goodwill pile and drop off the goodwill to the donation place.

Pack the single suitcase that we'll live out of until we get home.. and ahhhh all done !  It's a wrap.

It was raining all day today.. we were going to go to Disneyland today but figured we'd give it a miss.. perhaps we'll do it on Sunday, the day before we leave.. or perhaps we'll spend that day doing a LA tourof the Walk of Fame, Mann's Chinese theatre, the Stars' homes etc.. who knows.

After we finished packing and cleaning, we decided to go to the movies before we checked into the hotel.  We're staying at the Radisson at LAX for 3 nights before we fly to Hawaii.

We had lunch and then went to see Marley and Me (I cried.. no.. I sobbed) and then headed to the hotel.

We loaded the bags out, thank goodness for hotels that hold the baggage.. I won't have to look at those suitcases until Monday morning.  Checked into our room around 5pm and parked the RV in a carpark.. $40 for 4 hours.. not bad huh eeek !, Greg had a shower and a sleep for a couple of paltry hours while I booked a united flight for him from Phoenix to LAX for tomorrow and then around 9pm he drove the RV toward Phoenix, Arizona.

We bought Missy off Ebay from a yard in Arizona so we're sending it back there so they can sell it on consignment for us.

Greg will do a few hours tonight and then get to Phoenix after lunch sometime and then take the 430pm flight to LAX.

It's kind of sad saying goodbye to Missy.  She's done very well for a 1996 RV.

Well.. after Greg left last night, I just worried.  I worried about him on the road on his own, I worried he'd fall asleep on the road, I worried something would happen on the United flight back, I just worried !

I couldn't sleep.. I read for a while and I guess I must have drifted off some time after 2am.  Alex woke up at 7am, I set him up on the computer where he spent about 4 hours playing games while Charlie and I slept .. we slept 'til about 10am.. shocking !

Had a zombie day.. didn't do much.. watched some TV and just chilled.  Around 430pm, the kids and I headed over on the shuttle to pick up Greggy from the airport.

I feel better now he's back. He apparently drove until 230am and then pulled over for a sleep until 6am and then arrived in Phoenix at 1030am this morning.  He took Missy to the yard, cut off the flag, wrote down the mileage (she did precisely 14,053 miles which is 22,616 kilometres..  she did well.  The flag is a little tattered but it's been flapping around all across the country in the snow, in the rain and the sunshine.. bless it's cotton fibres !

We had dinner at the airport and then grabbed the shuttle back to the Radisson.

We voted on tomorrow, our final day.. Disneyland OR a LA CIty Tour with Movies Stars' homes.. and it was 3 to 1.. No Disneyland tomorrow.

Charlie isn't thrilled but we weighed it up and figured we wanted to see the Walk of Fame, Mann's Chinese Theatre, Rodeo Drive, Mullholland Drive (and the Hollywood sign), the Santa Monica Pier etc..

From here, including the bus trip, Disneyland was going to cost about $700AUD compared to having a private driver tomorrow for 4 or 5 hours for around $300AUD.. we figured we've done Disneyworld.. Disneyland has got to be the same thing right?  Anyway - that's the verdict.

I'll blog again tomorrow night or when I get to Hawaii about our day tomorrow.. and then I think I'm done.  Will start uploading some pics now.  It's been a while.

Kx (and him and them)
