Shhhh... gather round my darlings. Gather round and prepare to be amazed. Prepare to be awestruck. Prepare to be... amazed! Wait... I said that already, *ahem* PREPARE to meeeeeet YOUR DESTINIEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Have you ever felt your world was a tad askew? Something was a little off? Strange things happening, lost time, feeling off balance, out of place? Has your brain ever played nasty little tricks? This morning, at five am, pre-dawn, that was my brain. Who in their right minds gets up that early on a holiday i ask you? But stronger ties then me to my warm bed pulled me into the shower and out into the dark; ties of friendship, companionship, sisters-in-arms against the world! Wateva, the ties don't really matter, neither does the getting up at 5am. I am just impressed that I did and thought I would share my accomplishment with you all.
The Mystery Spot

Despite this hideous start to the day, Monday was to be a day beyond promise! I was so excited I was positively giddy. If any of you follow Supernatural Season Three you would know why. Monday was to be the day that I got to visit the world famous Santa Cruz Mystery Spot! *The Mystery Spot http://www.mysteryspot.com/*
So yes its no doubt all magic tricks and optical illusions but its fun to suspend belief even if it is only for 45 mins and it does cost you $5. (If you are planning on visiting I would advise parking on the street and walking in as they charge an additional $5 for parking). So, the Mystery Spot is a rough circle of land approximately 150 feet in diameter. Within this spot no tree grows perfectly straight (hmmm) and the laws of gravity and physics, (or was it physics and gravity???) don't apply. Whether its the result of a crashed meteorite, some weird time space gravitational vortex or ozone layer thingy, its a tour well worth the $5 for the giggle and the trek through the slanty shanty.

Balls roll uphill, everything leans on a 17 degree angle, peoples heights mysteriously change (Myriam was actually my height at one stage!), and you can stand vertically on the wall of the shack without need of assistance. Weird I know. And yet completely explicable I'm sure by someone way smarter then me :).
So very cool!
