Today was my last trip to London.  We went with our Rock and Roll and Society class to tour the Vault at the Hard Rock Cafe and to take a rock and roll tour around London.  We arrived at Marble Arch and made our way over to the Hard Rock Cafe.  Inside the vault there is memorabilia from many famous musicians.  Some of the most notable collectibles include Gene Simmon's guitar from Kiss, Jimmy Page's guitar from Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix's guitar, Bob Dylan's guitar, one of Madonna's costumes and Little Richard's shoes.  Most of these musicians were ones that we had discussed during our class.  This made the trip to the vault worthwhile, because I knew my history and was finally getting to see it in person.  After touring the vault and shopping around the store, we went on a bus tour of the most famous London rock and roll sites.  We rode in a small fifteen passenger van which was able to maneuver the small London streets better than a coach bus would be able to.  Some of the sites that we saw were Bob Marley's studio and Sticky Fingers restaurant made famous by the Rolling Stones.  There were other houses and studios that were also pointed out.  Some of the houses that we looked at started at 15 million pounds for a townhouse!  We even got to see the back of the houses which would have been were the servants and horses would have lived in the past.  I enjoyed getting to ride around London and seeing the different areas of town and expensive houses.  On our tour, we also stopped at Abbey Road which was made famous by The Beatles.  We tried to take our picture crossing the road, but it is very difficult to get a picture considering the heavy stream of traffic.  After finishing the tour, we grabbed dinner and ate it in Hyde Park.  We also took a walk around the park making our way down to the Serpentine, a body of water located in the park.  I really enjoyed getting to be surrounded by that much nature.  I am starting to miss the quiet atmosphere of Pennsylvania with its trees and minimal traffic.  After taking our walk, we got back on the Oxford Tube and said goodbye to London for the last time.
