So this is New Hampshire, huh?
From 1,200 Hours in North America in Portsmouth, United States on Jul 05 '08
Portsmouth is a Navy town, so we started our day with a tour of the USS Albacore, a historic Navy Submarine. Very interesting to walk through -- I am not a claustrophobic person but I don’t know if I could handle such a small space with so many people for very long!
Then we headed to downtown where we took a look at the shops and checked out Prescott park, which was having a music festival.
Evidently we missed Maine, because we decided to walk across the bridge back to Maine for lunch. We decided to eat at what can only be described at a seafood shack (there were many of these establishments that actually put the word “shack” in their title) named Morrison’s. After checking out their giant tanks, Eric devoured a HUGE one for lunch while I enjoyed a clam chowder/lobster bisque combination.
We walked around downtown some more, but we seemed to have covered it all already. So, we headed out of town (with a quick stop at the outlet malls nearby) to Rhode Island.
