· It was such a beautiful day to wake up to this morning. The sun shone brightly- this meant washing day!!! It was all washed and hanging before brekky. Kev then got on the fone to see if we could get a cheap ticket over to Scotland- it was our lucky day. We were booked on the 1.30pm from Larne to Cairnryan. As much as we could’ve stayed in Ireland for longer, we feel as though we’ve seen and experienced so much within the 2 weeks since we arrived. Probably more than most others would on a holiday over here. So in saying that it was a good feeling to get on the ferry- both eager to move on to explore another country. Jules finally finished the last Harry Potter book on the ferry and Kev had his head in his Wilbur Smith book. For this reason the 2 hour trip went really quickly. Once in Scotland we headed straight up the West coast. What an amazing drive. So different to the Irish coasts yet just as beautiful if not more so. We headed up to Troon where we stopped for a quick walk then as we neared the town of Largs, Kev spotted another 2 campers free parking. We battened down the hatches and joined the clan for the night overlooking a little bay.
