This was a busy day, since it was our last full day. I wanted to see the "sights" in town so we went over to the Seattle Center. It was pretty pricey to ride the elevator to the top, so we opted out, afterall, why pay $15 for an elevator ride? I'm sure the views were great, but I didn't feel like I missed out on much.

We took the tram back to downtown, leaving our car at the landmark. We walked to Pike's marketplace and priced fish to take home. At a really tasty croissant from LePanier across from Pike's and bought the hubby a totally cool shirt from a sidewalk vendor. We then walked down to the waterfront and chilled for awhile then eventually walked back to our car at the Seattle Center.

From there we drove out to the Sound Garden, which was quite an adventure. I didn't have very good directions and we finally got there with about 1/2 hour left before it closed. It was totally worth it though. What an amazing thing. It's truly indescribable, but if you ever have the chance--do it!

Later we drove back to our hotel and walked over to Cascadia (one of Giada's recommendations). She hit the nail on that one. It was posh, but no one was snooty. We went for Happy Hour and their signature drink the Alpine Martini. It was...interesting. They also serve these mini sliders that were awesome! and the garlic fries...o m g. There was a salt grinder and I put that to use. The portions are single serve, so order your own garlic fries. You'll be glad you did! For dessert, we had the strawberry-rhubarb pie, which was more like pie filling on a plate with little phyllo cookies atop. Paired it with a lovely Tokay. All was good.
