Okay then,

Copenhagen gets the thumbs up!! We arrived a bit later than we had planned after sampling the Berlin nightlife a little too much on Friday night/Saturday morning.

Copenhagen - Probably the most laid back place in the world!!

Our train was 9am but we did not wake up until 9.30am. Doh. Anyway we finally arrived in the Danish capital at 6pm after a five hour train jouney that included a 45 minute trip on a ferry. Madness.

Saturday night was spen in Tivoli gardens. Briaden managed to win a pack of cards and a bouncy football after chancing his arm at some amusement games. There was a jazz festival on so we watched a couple of acts at the big outdoor stage then the night was rounded off with a top fireworks display.

After that we ventured into the city in a couple of bars. The one bad thing about the place is the price of drinks. For a White Russian and a bottle of Carlsberg it was 14 QUID!!!!

Sunday was a bit of a lazy day spent doing the touristy thing and seeing the sights. We have both used our brains to tuck into some all you can eat pizza and pasta, which made us fit to burst on both nights.

I think we made the right choice just having two nights. The hostel was very cheap and cheerful. 65 Beds in one room. They were also made in the 50s and every time Braiden turned over it woke me up (he was on top bunk). The springs sounded louder than a gig at The Civic. Had about two hours sleep each night.

Overall a top place - now for Berlin.

Auf wiedersein
