Well New Years was not what we expected. We stayed in and planned to watch the city fireworks from our 7th floor balcony. The Dutch people love fireworks even more than Americans. I am not exaggerating at all the average family spends $500 euro on fireworks so there is a fireworks display on every street and it is a steady stream of fireworks for 4-5 hours from all over the city. I have never in my life seen anything like it.

So the guys who live next door were celebrating on their balcony and we started talking to them and eventually started drinking polish vodka with them. Marik and Legolash (sp.) i.e Mark & Gregory were very fun and we had a great time, drinking and watching until 2:30 / 3:00 am. So happy new years to all of our friends and family.
