So, we left Bondi Beach at 8am on the 25th to make our way up the coast, we had to drop off JM's friend Francois at the airport as he was supposed to be heading to New Zealand on the next stage of his world tour but because he only had a one way tickey they wouldnt let him on the plane so 2 became 3! If you look at the map were in a place called Yamba, an aboriginal fishing village just past Port Macqourie on the way to Byron Bay and its taken us 5 days to do 1000km and get here because theres so much to stop and see, so many different landscapes, this country is absolutely amazing. Weve been living out of the van, pitching tent on deserted beaches by night and waking up to a new view and amazing sunrise every day, it really does make you realise how dependant on technology we are as I'm always trying to find a plug point to charge my phone, camera and laptop! I'm finding the language barrier a bit tough at the moment as the french are always speaking in their native tongue and all they want to do is kite surf all day everyday but I try and go and do my own thing whilst theyre doing that. I've tried my hand at surfing but I was rubbish although I'm thinking of getting proper lessons once we get up to Byron Bay. Anyways I'll keep you all posted as soon as I've taken some more pictures, hope your all well
