Lake Tahoe

We drove to Lake Tahoe after only 5 hours sleep in Reno on a hot tip from my brother Chris. He used to live out there and highly recommended that we stop and going swimming in the lake at this spot where he used to go. We arrived and found it with no problem after Chris had rattled the directions off the top of his head from when he was there 10 years ago. We got there and climbed down a path into an oasis of water. Ypu could see about 10 feet down so clearly. The Lake really is so blue and COLD. It was too bad because of the previous week forest fire, there was a layer of smoke that has settled over the lake. It was really an amazing sight to see anyway. Meg and I swam for about an hour and then decided to head towards San Francisco. And yes Chris you were right, the swimming hole as been my favorite part of the trip to that point.
