So we arrived safely in Hong Kong and checking through customs was a breeze and the staff were really nice and the whole process wasnt half as difficult as we had thought it may be.
We headed of to our hotel from here and met our guides and amused oursleves with pointing out the little differences between here and home.
We had some free time in the afternoon and the only place we could find a couple of beers was in the local 7-11 (i LOVE asia) We werent sure where we could drink them, but when the lady behind the counter offered to open them for us, we had a better idea of how things worked around here. haha.

We wondered through all kinds of street stalls that seemed to be all selling the same weird foods, dried fish on rope, all kinds of fungus and what looked like dried grubs and small fish. We had a lot of trouble finding the difference between the smell of the city and the smell of the different food in these stalls, either way, it wasnt real pretty in parts, but it was pretty cool to see it all. There were poeple walking all over the streets and riding bikes and pulling trolleys etc, but it seems that no one was concerned about being hurt, everyone in Hong Kong seems to friendly and polite.

Last night we went to a traditional chinese local restaurant where we stood out like a sore thumb. I even met a local guy who is now my only friend in Hong Kong. (see attached photo) The food was AMAZING, very similar style to a lot of chinese take-aways back home, but a hundred times tastier and interesting. hmmmm garlic brocoli....... yes mum, you heard, i pigged out on brocoli - Pauly.
After dinner we headed out for a few drinks and to see the sights. Night life here is amazing, there were so many different people and walks of life hanging out in the streets. We found our way home after a few tram rides, and a lot of walking after getting oursleves lost and got to bed reasonably early as we were fairly tired from the previous 24hrs.

We woke early this morning and made our way to victoria peak, which is a massive mountain that sits behind Hong Kong, and it is massive. The tram ride was a little hairly in parts as it was REALLY steep (see photos) and logic would suggest if something broke (ie the cable holding us), we would probably die an impressively destructive death. But we are here and safe now, so you can stop freaking out mums.. haha
Once we got to the top, the view was AMAZING, even Lisa who is a little scared of heights still enjoyed it. - See photos

So here we are now and its 10:30am. We check out of here soon and head into China and into Wuzhou later today. We have a long (6 hour) bus ride ahead of us today, so there not be much to report later tonight, but we will update if we get a chance and let everyone know we are safe.
We have been told this may be on of the few oppurtunities to upload photos on this part of the tour, so if we dont upload any for a while, we will definitly still make the effort to update the text content and let everyone know how we are going.

We both miss everyone, but are having the time of our lives (although we both suffered a little culture shock when we got here last night, haha)
PS: I forgot to mention the "scaffolding" around here.... oh my god.... work place health and safety anyone? Its just bamboo tied together with string, and seriously, it goes for a hundred metres into the air, around building they are building and renovating. - I will get some photos.
