We drive from Timber Creek to Kununurra where we will stay for 2 nights.

The first day we decide to drive to the Argyle Diamond mine. Unfortunately you can not book a tour at the mine itself. You have to book it at the Tourist Office. I think they want to have the time to check you out. hahahaha It took a while to find it (400km). So... we will be back tomorrow.

Day 2

We get up at 6.30 and decide to do a 4WD track today, we found a really nice one at the tourist information. Ivanhoe Road and Ivanhoe Crossing.

That was really really cool. We drove through fluent water, it was scary but also very cool!!! Eric was doing really good.

The rest of the track was also very nice. On our way you see a lot. The land is very dry and the scenery changes from time to time. It seems a long while before we arrive at Black River Falls (pool). And aiiii there is no pool but only dried soil. When we drive on the scenery changes again. We see African cows, Dutch cows, wild kangaroos, birds I don't know the name of, parrots, etc. When opening gates time after time you realize that this is the land of somebody and you may cross it. Take care of the cattle.

What else are we gonna do today? We drive up to El Questro gorge. We do another bush walk along fluent water. Everything is dry but where is the water coming from? We will never know! Unfortunately we are not able to get to the Homestead where the series Outback Jack have been filmed. It was definitely my favorite!! But... I can say I was very near the place.

We also visit Lake Argyle and indeed our friend Reineke said: "It is very special". The dam is very high and the water outlet is huge. It is a big water reservoir.

That's it for now. Up to Coles supermarket to get plenty of water, because with these high temperatures (39 degrees Celcius) you keep on drinking.
