Crazy ride to Thessaloniki

i had to go on the ferry no problems its late as usual greek time children screaming the whole trip i slept better withte noise as opose to when teh parents took them away due to arrive there was traffic at teh port so we had to wait the people go to open the doors and then teh workers start screaming and teling them off saying it is really bad what they did the customers screaming back sayingthats not how u shouldtalk to customers screaming screamng in otehr nes the helpers are having some macho war screaming at eachother behind the desk one saying oxi den imaste kala we arent good, the other turning to punh him the boss pulling them apart, grek ego is not to be messed with.

i get off the ferry teh big cargo doors fall open and a gust of hot musty athens air sweeps in, i find my way round my backpack killing me i walk trying to find the metro ask people and follow directions still unsure make my way on train back still sore but i dun wana take off the pack cos its so difficult ottry and put it on again so im strugglig counting the stips until mine 8 sops waiting waiting eventually 5 , hear some irsh ppeople talking bout the metro to the airport i inform the they need a special ticket otherwise they could be fine 300euro they thank me kindly because of course there are no signs for tourits to know this and i know it only thru anna.

i get off at teh stop find my way to the net öine and old man sees me and helps me with pack as i wait for train asks me in grek where im from what im doin i say ive been travelling thru europe alone for four months he is shocked saying how heavy my bag is and ghelpin me find my way to larisa station. where  do my best greek to ask when train to thesaloniki is he is an asshole no time for my lack of greek i as if there will have kareklis chairs or beds, he gives me attitude saying what u want first class, i say no just a ticket.

so i wait needing something to eat its now 11 tain coming 1151pm line up for only food around is massive and one lady serving who is so tire dand has attitude about it i wait and wait as people ask fortheir sandwiches, when it gets to me half and hour later of corse there is no bread so i have to order a pre packed sandwiches yuk yuk i wait and theres a train that arrives i dnt think its mine so i sit tight but everyones bording so i ask and its mine i am told to go to the front cariage i get on jst before it takes off asking for my seat they expalin its a no seat ticket i am pissed off 7.5 hours with no seat and my pack its ridiculous i sit between carriages withthe people im compaliing to, stelios from some town an hour away this russian greek girl , this strange backwards guy with bad teeth and this albainan. what an odd group. steölios is cool and studies graphic design and works as a bar man, the russian girl who is 30 looks younger married  greek at 18 has 2 girls recently broke up with husband who is abusive to here and travels between athens and this own of her husband and plans to take her daughter and leave this time and this wierd guy whos a house painter.

they are sitting inbetween carriages with me im on my pack comaplining they are buying beers drinking and talking, stelios goes i tke his contact , im talking withthe motehr and teh weird guys the motehr is so strong and knows herself and so pissed off about marrying so young thought she was in love is troubled by having to see ths man again soon so is drinking and smoking so much they go thru all these beers but they take care of me after me saying how bad greeks areto tourists they by me fanta and water and food and make sure im alright the girl takes me to the baTHROOMS THERE LOVELY to me. the toliet is disgusting no light she hand s me her lighter. grossse unflushed.

we return to our spot.   the girl goes and tells the boys firmly ' take care of her or ill get you and hurt u', she means business teh boys simple minded take it to heart and start treatig me like a queen i was  embaraased they were watching out for me eventually im told to mve by a worker cos im blockin a door so this boy picks up my pakc soo big and heavy and proceeds don these narrow alise knocking peole withthe pack passing thru to get me to a seat T THE back of teh train, i follow behind embaraased apologising to everyne as they look at him and call out malaka hes reali realli simple but wants to uphold his bargain with the russian that im taken care of. eventually he pushes his way to a seat knocks people who are sleeping throws my pack up and tells me to sit where this old mn has made himself comfortabel cross two seats the guy looks like he is gona hit me but sees im a girl nd i apologise and ask niceley if i can sit and he relctantly agrees.

the crazy guy makes sure im alright i thank him and he leavs i get comfortabel and sleep ad next thing im tapped on teh shoulder and hes back and bought me a chocolate croassont, i laugh embarassed again as everyone else lloks on. and i thank him and he walks off. i sleep until we are nearly there then teh albainan who i spke to aboutthe troubles being and albaian in this country and who works hard from teh age of 12 and has lack of selfesteem cos hes treated second rate he comes andtaps me and asks if i wana sit with him cos teh old man is taking all teh space so i move aqnd i go to leep then he hasles me to wake up saying we are near making movesto get close i push him away as politely as i can adn say oxi. they come find me as i leave get y bg give it to me nd ask where im staying i say cousins re picking me up and i wait forthem to leave then i have to find a cab but i dun want to be riped off by a driver cos they see me with pack and know im forgein.

so i walk around eventually getin in a cab with two greek locals. teh driver drives dropping them then picking an old lady up dropping her picking another dropping her and then eventually me half and hour later. i feel i am being ripped off as they pay a few eruo and im charges 9 euro but nicole later tells me thats alright, it was better than that 15euro fare i paid in athens on way to larrisaa. so im tird i arrive at nicoles at 8am i let in and pass out until late afternoon best sleep after such a crazzzzzzzzzy journey
